What is twitgift?

Twitgift is an application that allows you to send REAL gifts to your twitter friends.

Who came up with twitgift?

Twitgift is a lab concoction of the LaC project, a company founded by AJ and Melissa Leon.  

How does twitgift work? 

You choose a gift for your favorite tweep. We send a tweet asking them to claim their gift. Your friend accepts your gift and enters their shipping address.  We send out the gift.  You look awesome! 

Do I need to know the shipping address?

Nope, we take care of that (one of the things that makes twitgift awesome!).  The person receiving a gift will get a tweet from you and once they accept and claim their gift, they will then enter their shipping address. 

How does my card get charged? 

We simply place a hold on your card (this will show as a pending charge in your bank account). Once your twitter buddy claims their twitgift, your card will be charged for the amount of the Twitgift. However, if your friend doesn't claim their gift within a week, we'll remove the hold from your card and cancel the order.

How long does my twitter friend have to claim their twitgift? 

Your friend has one week to claim their gift.

Do I need a twitter account to give a twitgift?

Yes you need a twitter account.  If you don't have one yet, go to twitter and create one, it takes 2 minutes. Then come back and start sending some twitgifts. 

Can I only give gifts to people with twitter accounts?

Twit-gift ... give physical gifts on twitter.  Yep, you can only send gifts to people on twitter. 

Where do you deliver twitgifts?

For now we only deliver to the United States, but we will be opening up in a few more countries in 2011. 

When will the twitgift be delivered?

Twitgift ships all packages via USPS Priority Shipping, so your gift should be delivered within 3 to 4 days after it has been accepted by the recipient.

I'm a vendor can I apply to list products on twitgift?

Yes, if you are a vendor and think that your product would make a great twitgift make sure you contact us.

Twitgift was built in Django by Threadsafe Labs.
